This can't be real sounds insane. Does a snow mobile even have a large enough radar signature?

These are the same buffoons that are still flying sea kings and bought into F35.

The F-35 was a colossal waste of money indeed. Would have been better spent on the Eurofighter or the Dassault Rafale. They cost a fraction as much. What do we need a stealth fighter for? Especially that hunk of junk the Americans are selling. The F-35 has been plagued with problems, which makes me wonder what long term maintenance will be like.

Granted the military does need hardware updates. Especially after their budget was gutted by the Liberals in the 90s. Though lets be practical here.

When the shit hits the fan and they have to flee, they will run to Santa Claus.

This is not a bad idea at all. Sound travels far on the tundra as there is nothing to muffle the sound.

snowmobiles are a bad choice in the arctic, if you're bogged down for weeks in a snowstorm you can't eat a ski-doo. It also can't instinctively find the good ice, tell you when danger is close, and if something breaks you're fucked (also how are they going to recharge the thing on long range patrols?).

there's a reason why the danish sirius patrol still uses dogs.

The purpose of these is not for Patrol, but for carrying out Assaults. A way to get close enough to an enemy so as to have the element of surprise.

All about logistics. Dogs need food, humans need food and Snow mobiles need fuel and oil.

Meanwhile, Russia, China, and US of A will just take out Canada's 100 (being conservative) yet to be delivered F-35s and 100 or so not grounded F-18s, then bomb everything else.

Better than buying into the F-22

At least the F22 has two engines and apparently works...

Ah, then why bother? Maybe we should just surrender now and avoid the $Cost and loss of Life preemptively

The idea is probably to make it thermal and noise stealthed rather than evade radar. Because of thermal cameras and ears.
