60in LED vs Plasma around 1200 $

Looking to buy a new TV for Christmas to go along with the new Xbox One and was wondering how does Samsung LED compare to Plasma TV? Is my budget too low and how is the lag for games? Any recommendations?
 
plasmas usually have fast refresh, as far as the other components of lag, no idea.

I prefer plasma to LCD's 99% of the time

how bright is the room you want to put it in, plasma generally requires light control because of glare and reflection
 
Thanks for your input. I'm attracted to how nice Samsung LCDs look but haven't had a chance to check out plasma at my local best buy.
 
if both are at 60inchs and $1200 I would take the plasma.

I own one now and the picture is better than LCD/LED.

I have a 4 year old 50" Sammy 720p plasma and people still comment on how great the picture is. When they watch it no one notices its not less than an inch thick
