I thought I made a thread about this before but I can't seem to find it. Anyway, I recently purchased a Sony W800b for console/pc gaming and using my computer on. It turned out to be a major regret, the TV is great but on game mode the picture quality is not as good since I prefer a vivid picture setting and there is no vivid setting in game mode. The Input lag when not in game mode is 80-90ms while in game mode it is 22-24ms.
I was thinking about getting a refund and buying this Vizio instead since with Vizio TV's, it doesn't matter what mode you have it on, it always has low input lag, gaming mode or not.

It is the only TV that can do 120hz at 1080p on a HDMI port that is not HDMI 2.0.
The main multiplayer games I play on PC right now are Planetside 2 and Star Trek Online. In planetside 2 I play on very high graphics settings and I get 35-45fps in big battles and 50-60fps when I am not in a big battle so I won't be anywhere near 120fps.
So would playing on a 120hz screen at less than 60fps be any different than playing on a 60hz screen at that same framerate?
