60gxp prob HELP!!

ok i have a 40 gig ibm 60gxp and well my hdtach scores aint too good
i have 9.2ms for random access and then i have 2mbps for read burst and then it has 89 percent cpu utilization i have heard that 60gxp's hit 36mbps what can i do?

i have newest 4 in 1 and the biggest cable that fits on the hd the one that came with my kt7a is that a 80wire? ok i will try dma

In win 98 DMA is located in device manager under your hard drive.
In win2k DMA is located in device manager udner your IDE controller.


Look at a floppy cable? See how the wires are big and fat? If an IDE cable has the same size wires, it is ATA33. If it has much thiner and more wires, it is ATA66/100
