The 60 gig 7200 drive listed on dell's site is refurbished and goes for $179..
There is a 5400 drive for $125.95.. I'm not sure what you were looking at.... Also your 20% coupon does not exist on dealcut.com.

Dell's Hard 50+ Gig Drives

They do however have a warm deal (which I think I am going to be doing) on the WD 7200 80 gig drive

$182.95 - 80.0GB EIDE ULTRA-ATA/100 INT7200RPM
-$25.00 Dell Home Customer: $25 off Software and Peripheral Orders over $150
-$18.29 Dell Home Customer: 10% off any item.
$0 Free Shipping
$0 Tax
---------
$139.66

A 7200 80 gig drive for $140 shipped. Not a bad deal IMO since there are no rebates involved.

Do a search for Item# "340-6820" add it to your cart. The 20% discount should appear on your order.

Definitely a slightly repackaged version of an already posted deal here and here.

This should be continued in the original threads (since they're still being bumped as of today) :(

72,000 RPM hard drive really... What is that gas powered?

Might want to edit that title for accuracy.

Here is a paste from an order processed on 12/28:

DELL Hard Drive; 60GB IDE 7.2K RPM for Dell Dimension 4300/8100/8200 desktops Qty: 1 Unit Price: $92.18.

I added McCaffee Virus Scan and got the 25%.

I ordered another one on new years day. So they weren't refurbished as of yesterday. I am going to set them up in an IDE RAID 0 setup. My guess is that they sold out. Even without the discount, it came to $121 delivered. Not bad I'd say.

Techbargains.com has the coupon, the 20% discount for dell-branded upgrades should be expired now---but peeps still are seeing them in the shopping cart once an item is added on Dell's site.

Dell just emailed me and said the 60 gig hard drive is delayed until Jan 17th.

That bites....:disgust:

Actually the 20% off of dell stuff is good until 1/28/2002.
