601s, OGR, and the speed calculator

I have approximatly 300mhz of 601 processors (1st generation PowerPCs), in a total of 4 machines, they would only turn out approximatly 500kkeys in RC5, I don't normally run OGR, but there is no speed rating for the 601s in the speed calculator. Should I go through the effort of setting these 4 machines up, record speeds, etc. or is it worthless?

I'd say go for it Diffusion, all data we have will benefit the TeAm sooner or later! If you have the time and energy to set them up and test I'm sure it would be appreciated, I know I would appreciate it 🙂

Do it, everything counts 🙂 I installed the client on a lc475 which averages 19 kkeys/s- now that was a waste of time 😉

You don't really have to do anything involved to find out how they do in OGR, you just need to run a few benchmarks with nothing running in the background. The readme file should let you know how to benchmark with that particular client.

There isn't any need to set it up and actually run OGR unless you want to 😉

I know, however, right now all of them are sitting in a closet and I will have to hook them up, get the client on them, etc. just a pain to do everything, well, next time I have the time to do it I guess I will.

Ok, I get it 😱

Whenever you get a chance is fine. I didn't realize that you had to get the computers out. I figured that you meant that you needed them to stop cracking rc5 and get them to start OGR.
