600T front fan options

Rifter

Lifer
So since the stock fans in the 600T suck and not in a good way i was wondering what some of you may have done to beef up the front cooling of this case.

I recently replaced the top 200mm fan with 2 120mm 2100rpm yate loon fans and it dropped my CPU temp by 6-8c so obviously the stock fans are crap. The front doesnt seem like its going to be as easy to swap because there doesnt appear to be room for a standard 25mm fan, the stock 20mm fan just barely fits in there without hitting the drive cages. Also there doesnt appear to be enough room to fit 2 120mm fans ontop of each other anyways without hitting the 5.25" bays.

So what are some options people have been using with the front of this case? Im considering cutting a hole in the front fan filter to get that extra 5mm and fit in one fast 120mm fan that can move as much air as 2 slower 120mm's, Maybe a 4000rpm delta or something like that.

wow i thought this thing was popular. I would have thought someone whould have beefed up the front panel cooling by now.

From a couple of reviews I've read, I cannot tell if it's possible or not. Recently I've been stalking and posting on the Corsair Forums and I cannot see a direct answer to your question.

I would strongly suggest you ask on the Corsair Forums. They're pretty good if a little slow due to their specialised nature. I have a 500R which I'm kitting out slowly and asking too many questions about, plus I'm RMA'ing my H100 due to excessive pump noise.

As a side, for my 500R I was thinking about replacing my 200mm fan with another 200mm fan. I also have the choice of either 2x120mm or 2x140mm there too. Just there are no good 200mm fan reviews and 2x 120/140mm fans is even more money.

If you find out anything else on the Corsair forums repost here if you would. I have the 600T and will probably swap out some fans when I do my next build.

600T, as with the 650D will not fit a 200mmx25mm fan in the front unless you move the hard drive cage or mod part of the rails they're on. It sucks because I hate the stupid 200mm fans Corsair used and I can't even fit a good 200mm fan in there due to the 20mm height restriction.
