I'm getting around 6000 3D marks on 3DMark2001 SE using the default settings. From what I've read on this forum this is extremelly low for my system:

Athlon XP 2000+
512 MB PC2700
Asus A7V
MSI GeForce 4 ti4200
Detonator 29.42

Any recomendations to increase this values?

Thanks,
Steven Martins

I just built a pc with XP1800, MSI GF4 Ti4200, 256DDR, KT3 Ultra motherboard, and maxtor 7200 D740X harddrive - and mine also
does lower than expected, only 7400... on my other XP1800 with GF3 Ti200 I get 8200!

Now this is OOOOOD. I installed RivaTunner and GeForce TweakUtility and changed a few settings after reading some messages from this forum. Nothing worked. I then decided to re-install the drivers.

3D Mark score: 9100.

Don't ask me what changed ;) Go figure.

So if you are getting shi$$% performance try re-installing the drivers.

;) Also reinstalling DX8.1 is often worth while. Many people find deinstalling all gfx card drivers, running Detonator Destroyer and then reinstalling the latest offical drivers works charms.

:D Very often you need to flash the mobo BIOS, try the latest official drivers (esp gfx and mobo) from both manu and chipset websites and check all of your BIOS settings (Aperture Size, IRQ, AGP mode, Shadowing, Caching etc).
