Sometime ago I purchased a case such as this from Meritline. It held 720 I think. It was an awesome case until I tripped and fell down the stairs with it. Now it is not so awesome by no fault of its own.
I kept waiting as they have different capacity of these cases on sale all the time. Finally an 800 came up for $40 I think. When I received the case it "looked" almost like the same case, but alas it was not. My first case was relatively heavy duty. This new case is flimsier and the sleeves are cheap, tight fitting and suck. The main issue besides being made of lighter materials all over is that once you get it loaded up the rails that hold the sleeves on the new case flex down and the sleeves, since they are a bit longer than the ones included with the first case, rub on the bottom of the case.
The first case I got has SILVER handles and there are 4 rivets on each end. I would buy this case again in a heartbeat. The "new" (read cheapened up) case is lighter built of flimsier materials, has black handles and no rivets on the ends. The new case sucks.
Buyer beware! The link included above looks like one of the ?new improved? (read cheapened up) cases.
Not thread crapping, just trying to keep someone else from making the same mistake as I did.
That said, the idea behind these cases is excellent. They allow huge collections of discs to be stored efficiently and with great organization. The best part is being able to add or remove a sleeve anywhere in the line up. I use a database with my discs info and store the discs in the case in alphabetical order. It work perfect.
Also if you want to buy the extra sleeves separate you are screwed . They have them priced way, way too high. Much cheaper to just buy 2 cases and use the sleeves from the second.
Cheers..
