It lead to african colonialism that killed millions. It lead to indian colonialism that killed millions. It lead to the nazis that killed millions. It lead to several communist regimes that bagged a few million each. And republicans themselves have a few million on their hands through interventionism in the last 20 years.

You're a fucking joke. Who is nationalizing banks? and nationalizing the US auto industry? Oh, there's a big fat D in his title.

You and your pethetic fucking joke of like minded simpletons just can't let go of your petty politics and understand that people that really do care about this country exist and they do what they feel is right for out country, just as dumb shits like you think what you do is right.

Out of curiousity, does anyone know how this major reenlisted when he was in his fifties? Last time I checked the cutoff age for enlistment was way lower than that.

He didn't "enlist" he was a commisioned officer and he can re-join up to the age of 60

A great man has died and ZeGermans is turning it into a rant about the evils of nationalism. You are worthless.

Sorry, Gandhi was a great man. MLK was a great man. This man was a murderer who willfully has fought in two of our most morally bankrupt wars of aggression.

So, what exactly is it that you know about Maj. Hutchison that deems him worthy of being called a "murderer" ?

Last time I checked that was in the criminal category. :|

A man serving like he did is beyond commendable, especially in an age of Cheneys and Ws starting illegitimate wars. His loss is sad, and makes the crimes of Cheney and Co. all the more disgusting. I can support the troops while holding their leaders accountable. Why should I blame the troops for being taken for granted by their leaders? Why should I blame a soldier for wanting to protect his comrades, maybe serve in a role he has a calling for? Like it or not, we have a lot of folks who come from generations of warriors.

He went out with his boots on. RIP soldier.

By the way, while your concerns on the dangers of nationalism are well founded, your line of pain there falls apart as you make no mention of racism.
Come now, surely you've heard of 'white man's burden' ? Culture transcends nation, so dismissing that whole Teutonic vs. Slav thing can't be passed off as national either.

Not to nitpick, but a Major is an officer, not a soldier.

While true, what rank doesn't want to be known humbly as a soldier? If it's good enough for Pershing...

So, not going to back up that "murderer" claim there ZG? Content to slander the honorable good name of a man who exemplified patriotism and fidelity? Please don't make me agree with PJ, I won't sleep for weeks.

To all the naysayers and those deriding this guys service (which gives you the right to complaim BTW)

He stood up to be counted when the chips were down. Do some soul searching and see if there is anything worth dying for in your life. If not........I feel truly sorry for your own self-importance. Just make sure that you truly ARE important to the world before you show your ass. Otherwise you're dismissed as a sad, shallow, frightened shell of a "human".

Damn, that sucks. That's got to suck to fight in what people consider a real war, just to die in that joke of a war in Iraq.

RIP
