60 minutes interviews Iraian President

I searched the forums and didn't find this...needless to say, here is the 60minutes interview with the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Personally I think he handled himself well. While I think he's a nut bar, I still feel there is some truth to what he says; if indeed he speaks his true beliefs. His comment "the bomb is in the past" was interesting as it seems like a play on words. ie. we are past the time for using bombs...or they have already developed a functioning nuclear weapon.

Everyone on this forum should watch this interview as Iran will be an important player moving forward; more so than Iraq and North Korea.

It was an okay interview. Nothing great. IMHO Ed Bradley came off as being very rude and confrontational to a foriegn leader. Ed would never go into attack mode with our own priesident in regrads to the whole Iraq mess like he did with the president of Iran in this interview.

You know what's REALLY stupid? Basing our decision making process about broad, cartoonish characterizations of the people we have to deal with. I'm not saying the Iranian President is a good guy that I'd like to have a beer with, but learning more about ANYONE is valuable in dealing with them. Granted, I haven't been alive as long as some people on this board, but I have never experienced a situation where LESS information is helpful, especially where people are concerned.

Haha, I noticed that too. By the way, The Iranian President hates Zionists, not Jews. It's like people hating neoconservatives, not Americans. However, some people like to mix and match as they see fit.

I suggest you read the page you linked to, since it contains more than the last paragraph that you conveniently focused on in order to back whatever you were trying to prove.

EDIT: Here is some more info; it doesn't seem like Jews in Iran are allowed to leave:

According to the Nessah Cultural Center, a Persian Jewish center in Beverly Hills, California, the remaining 30,000 Jews of Iran are officially allowed to leave, but it is a difficult process. Jews who apply for a passport to travel abroad are immediately put under surveillance. With the world eyes upon Iran, there is no telling how this may alter the existing difficult emigration policy in coming months. In the past, while Iranian Jews were allowed to leave, they could only do so individually (not as a family) to prevent mass flight.
