Not really. Cars are slow.
In the passenger seat watching the vitals of the engine while you trust your life to another, it really is.
HPTuners?
Using a stand alone AEM computer. I'm the laptop guy for my brother. Just two guys getting the base tune done before an actual shop does the full power tune.
Gotcha, car?
SRT-4. Completely worked over. No idea on HP as this is the initial get it running and making power alright phase. Before this rebuild was 414 hp. Brother's goal is 700 hp w/o nitrous.
And he could only get 4.5 60-100? Cobalt SSs are doing ~4 seconds on the stock turbo.
Not yet tuned. A/F ratio is bottomed out at the limits of the O2 sensor. When it actually makes it to the dyno I'll update this thread. This is only on 20 psig of boost as well. The efficiency range of the turbo is in the ~30-35 psig range.
Which turbo? I'm debating GT30/GT35.
4.5 0-100mph would be fast.
I think so, but I am not 100% sure (he bought all the parts at a shop he works at, I've seen little of the assembly). I do know that it [I}almost[/I] fits a coke can into the compressor housing.
That whole not dieing when someone else makes a mistake makes me dislike on-road motorcycling. A cage is there to protect from other's stupidity.
He wanna cut me a deal on a mid-size turbo![]()
You scared?
Who the fk puts 700HP in a neon?
buy a real car
Yep. Not having control isn't very fun. If I wanted that to happen I'd take a taxi everywhere I go.
Torque steer FTW!
With higher hp FWD cars, forget about torque steer, you get wheel hop or just no traction at all.
