In your Econ 101 class, did you just ignore fact that it is usually some rich guy starting those companies that employ all those people that make the underwear? Or how about when a rich guy decides to build a $1Million mansion? That employs 10 times the people it would take to make the average $100K house. This isn't the 1800's where most people can just go back to their houses in the country and live off shooting buffalo. We live and die off the economy and you think it will be just fine driving a steak through it's heart.
