hi all,
not sure if this has been answered already, but here it goes:
The 7800 GTX ships with a 6pin-to-2molex power cable.
1) do both molex connecters need to be attached to the power supply?
1a) if yes, why? isn't it all the same node?
2)the ultra x-connect power supply series (probably a poor choice for SLI anyways, it only has the 20 pin atx support) offers a power dongle that is a 6pin-to-1molex converter. what's up with that?
I ran the card with only 1 molex connection and with both molex's plugged in AND with the x-connect cable... didn't really notice a difference between the three of them.
thanks,
jchor
