6-pin PCI converters

Upgraded to a BFG 8800 GTS 320MB last night. I had to use the dual 4-pin Molex to single 6-pin PCI converter and had a lot of difficulty getting it to sit properly in the connector. I can't push it in far enough so that the plastic latch on top is behind the groove on the plug housing on the card (hope that makes sense). It looks like it's about half a centimetre off

I figured I might be close enough so tried to POST. That worked okay and the fan was spinning, so HL2 Lost Coast was next to see if it had enough power for gaming. That ran smoothly (extremely ) so I'm not sure if I should be worried about this? I was going to email BFG but wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem with these converters or plugs.

I'm not sure if it's ok or not but you could try to buy another adapter. My spare power supply does not like to plug in the 6 pin on my video card either. But my new power supply it does just fine. I think you might have just gotten one adapter slightly out of size.

BFG are sending me a replacement adapter :thumbsup:
