I have a humming noise coming out of the speakers from the 6-channel direct input form the PC. However if I choose the play from the optical input there is no humming. I tried to reconnecting the coaxial cables but it didnt solve it.
I didn't see any grounding cable from the receiver.
I got: Speakers: Yamaha NX-P120 & Receiver: Sharwood RD-6405R

Please help me stop the humming! :)

sounds like you have a ground loop somewhere. try running an extension cord from another part of the house and putting the receiver on that plug.

I dont have other plug. Aren't ground loop isolators reduce the sound quality? and if not which model/company you recommend?

You can always return them if you don't like them but I've never had an issue with SQ.

The rules here are different. I can't return it if its working, only if its damaged or something I can.

You might have a bad cable on one of your 6 channel input.
Disconnect them all and plug them in one at a time until the hum is back.
Replace the offending cable.
Enjoy.

Indeed Walter White that was the problem. I changed all the cables to new thick ones and it worked.

You most likely did not have to replace them all but hey, its working now... Good for you.

Sounds more like a shielding issue than with the old cables. The new ones probably have a foil or mesh shield...
