wasnt as appealing but you bought it anyway?
It looked interesting, but I had a hard time getting into the original Deus Ex which made me skeptical. That, and I have a gigantic backlog of other titles to play. That means I have a pretty high standard for games that actually make me want to dedicate dozens of hours to beat them.
DE:HR surpassed that standard with flying colors.
i was referring to the DLC, not the game
You say no boss fights, but there was at least one (that big tough mech guy that took me hiding in a corner where he could not pathfind to beat him).
DLC for HR worth it?

also, if anyone already has Nuclear Dawn..you just got a free copy to give to a friend, so check your inventories.
X2 on your comments both on the game and DLC.DE:HR was one of my surprise favorites of 2011. I bought it on sale, not expecting to spend much time in it. Ended up getting hooked on the game's amazingly well-crafted universe and narrative, not to mention the gameplay itself, which was very engaging and had a lot of variety.
I think I dumped ~20 hours into it overall. $7.50 is a steal for such a quality game. (Interestingly enough, the DLC wasn't as appealing to me though.)
