Hey guys.
I recently purchased Logitech's X-620 speaker 6.1 system. That means 6 speakers (3 front, 3 back) and a sub. I currently have a 5.1 mobo intigrated card (DFI 865pe Lanparty) and use a C-media driver.
he first problem is that although I love logitech items, the speaker manual was uttermost garbage, having 4 pages and 4 languages... How do I set up a 6.1 speaker system? I was trying to google this but didnt come up with any worthwhile sites. I know that 3 go in front and 3 go in the back, and i know where each speaker goes, but is it ok if I have speakers behind me on a slant?
Cuz my room goes something like this:
____________
|.................... x | ..... x Is where my computer desk is.
|....................... | ..... / is the walls, and behind me I have a slant wall. Not like a slant that alters the 90
|........................| ..... degrees but rather 'my room is not square, it has 5 corners'. See what Im saying?
|......................./
------------------/
When I play something like music, it sounds like its coming from a tube and im getting extreme echoes on the back, while the front play the music (not so clear may I note), and overpower the back ones and the central ones. The speakers behind me are on a slant, the right one being further away than the left one so it further distorts the sound.
Anyway do you know if its a problem with the speakers, mobo, or my room? ;p
And also is there a new C-Media driver? It looks like they went out of business... no more website.
Thanks a lot,
CPH
