5v and 12v rails can be adjusted in Thermaltake 480 power supply

Hey guys, I just got this power supply and
the 5v and 12v rail can be adjusted with pots that are located within.
Instructions can be found here and works well.
 
I haven't had the need to adjust my pots. My TT480 runs fine and rock stable even when OC'ed.


Good find tho, can someone guinea pig?

The TT480 im using atm is my dads so Im not guinea pigging. If they can be tweaked, sounds sweet to me. Voltages are stable as they are.
 
Yeh I did it on mine already, the 12v was little low but here is the readings now.

3.3 - 3.38
5 - 5.30
12 - 12.28
 
I don't know much about voltage adjustments, but i do know that over-volting is just as bad as under-volts. What's the ideal range for the rails to be? And at what point is it too high?

The rails should be accurate and should not 'sag' under load. If your PSU does drop under load (such as when running Prime95 or 3DMark01), you might want to bump it up (maybe 3-5% max) if that keeps your minimum voltage from dropping too low.

However, to get a remotely accurate reading, you need to use a voltmeter -- the onboard monitoring chips are relatively inaccurate (sometimes wildly so).
