5th grade home work....

OutHouse

Lifer
1. Common is to unusual as spoiled is to _ _ _ _ _ (fresh ?)

2. Mad is to angry as creek is to _ _ _ _ _ _ (stream ?)

cant figure this one out... Has to be a plural noun

Begin is to end as actor is to _______

Mad and angry have no inherent level of difference. Although many parents say "I'm not mad at you, but I'm angry with you," they're synonyms. Then again, this is only 5th grade, not the Miller Analogies exam, so I guess "synonyms" is an acceptable "link." In that case, yes, "stream" would be acceptable.

mad Audio pronunciation of "mad" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (md)
adj. mad·der, mad·dest

1. Angry; resentful. See Synonyms at angry.

i would say river for #2 instead of stream....unless you're thinking of 3 stages of anger.

3) fvcking pissed off

1) creek of annoyance
2) stream of resentfulness
3) river of hate

I was told that the odd grades are harder than the even, is this true or has anyone else ever heard this?
