I guess we can call it "bulking" as I gained around 18lbs but only 4% in body fat. Well, my question is, what can I do (other than stretching really well before and after my workout) to minimize the soreness? I know I cannot prevent it completely but any idea = appreciated with a  🙂

There's no help, you'll be sore regardless, unless you just go to the gym and not work out. here's to trying to get in shape again. [homer] D'oh[/homer]

Start out light and with fewer reps. Increase as time passes. You will be less sore if sore at all if you only do say 10 sets of a weight you can move easily 10 times as compared to doing 20 sets of full blown heavy deadlifts.
