you can get the ps3 regular version for $499. Which comes with a 20gb hdd and hdmi output. There a link on anandtech main page about sony letting people upgrade the hdd

$180 wiimotes and nunchucks
$30 component cables
$90 to spend for gamecube/wii accessories or games.

IMO better deal for the wii right now. next year that might (hopefully) change.
