When i try 500/1000 it crashes during the troll scene in 3dmark2003. What's a good OC? 450/900 was no problem but as soon as I bumped it up it gets flaky.. also I'm using coolbits and don't understand why during boot the monitor gos to black for a split second. Is their a better overclocking program?

Also I've never played with agp voltage so any suggestion here would be very helpful on this card. Card is bfg 5900nu..

The monitor going black during boot when using coolbits is normal because Ive experienced it with all of my Nvidia cards. Weird thing is I dont think it does it with my 5950 Ultra but its nothing to worry about. As for a good overclock on your card, I dont know but I would recommend getting some aftermarket cooling and ramsinks for that sucker. My BFG has a copper plate on both sides cooling the ram and GPU but it limits my OCing to my sig speeds. I just ordered a Tt Giant III from newegg and that should significantly raise my OC limit with the copper ramsinks and the heatpipes. I would suggest you get that since it seems to be the best bet next to water cooling for video cards but the price is kinda of high, $35.
