This is from a new thread over at nvnews.net.

MikeC the owner of nvnews has sent off an email asking for explanition in the Obvious IQ loss on the nvidia card.

I looked closely at the hothardware shots and the 5900 is really rendering an ugly mess compared to the 9800.

Read the whole thread-

I forgot to mention an important point about the 4X AA image. That's what it looked like when I took a screenshot. What I saw on-screen looked more like the image with no AA.

I noticed that screenshots taken with the NV35 were mis-representing 4X AA image quality. I even got a second and third opinion from my wife and son

This is no secret, it has been discussed dating back to the initial 5800 launch. The same problem happened with the Voodoo5 when it first hit too. They are handling something in a post process filter that is hosing screen captures.

I read the whole thread and have been aware of the problem with taking screenshots but since none of you own one of these cards and mikec is worried about the process I found it relavent to post this source and since I didn't read a detailed account of this problem and since his only reply is that he is asking nvidia to elaborate it's almost impossible to draw a conclusion based on it.

I posted the link to the thread for the hothardware screens where the nv35's AA is terrible (not blurry) just not nearly as smooth as the radeon's.
