5900 Ultra, now my system randomly reboots in 3d games after 10 minutes or so
it was rock solid till I added the Ultra
p4
Abit IS7
Enermax 350

any ideas?

I had an ASUS 9950 FX5900 (sold it two day ago) and never had the problem until i have installed detonator 45.33. That was the one which was able to solve the noise and flickering problem when scrolling in 2D or 3D using the mouse. The new driver seems to solve these problems by lowering the rotational speed of the fan attached to the card. While the 45.33 driver solved the aforementioned issues for my card unfortunately it caused random resets on my system. After the HL2 story I have decided to get rid of it as fast as i can.

Did you remove all traces of your previous video card?
Do you have the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for your system?
Is your supply good enough to handle the card?

I had this exact problem a couple of times. There is nothing wrong with any of your hardware, it's just a BIOS setting. Mail the manufacturer of your card and they'll send back a list of all the settings in the BIOS that can affect your card. Tweak these settings and you'll find that your computer becomes rock solid again. Just takes a bit of time and patience.

Hope this helps,
