Is it just me or are there two versions of this speaker set. One has bass adjustment on the sub, the other doesnt.

I have these speakers (4 not 5) and they rule. Clear audio quality and a great subwoofer. Typical Altec Lansing quality merchandise.

This is'nt really hot for me,my local Sam's Club sells them for less than $50. The price stays that way but the product does'nt move much.

kingz, there are indeed two different versions. One has a bass adjustment on the subwoofer, the other doesn't. I have the one that doesn't, and have been extremely happy with it (although when I found out there was a different version, I wanted that one, because at the time I needed a bass adjustment). I don't think there's a way to tell the difference until you open the box. These speakers sound great, and are well priced, making them an excellent deal.

nnnyyy, no ACS54s aren't digital

I got the ACS56, one (big) step above the ACS54, one its digital, but only for the front

The ACS54s are for those of you who are on a budget and is not a bass person, the 4" driver on the woofer just doesn't cut it when it gets moderately loud. I am a bass person, and ACS56 all the way!! By no means are the 54s crappy, but my boss has ACS33s and they have a 4" woofer, just doesn't shake the floor or give your parents heart pain like the 6.5" ones on ACS56s do.
