5870 aftermarket cooling

I have dual 5870s housed in an open case running 100% 24/7 for DC. They have a non reference cooler:

The fan speed is at 100% keeping these babies cool as they endlessly crunch numbers. I'm looking to quiet them down while also keeping the chips a bit cooler. They don't get any hotter than 90C, but a little cooler would be nice, so I have some head room for when the weather gets a bit warmer.

What do you guys recommend?

I'm in a similar predicament. Right now my fans are running at 60% just to keep things under 90. I'll tell you how the temps change once I get my Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus.

arent u on water?
You didnt like the reduction of your temps by 1/2?

Air wont get anywhere close.. even on a beefy sink.
This is why i said once u watercool the gpu, your SOL.
You cant go back, unless u want to see temps in the 2x ranges of what your water did.

Psh aigomorla, my 6970s are watercooled, my 5870s which are also being used for DC are not and it isn't worth the moneys to watercool them. They live in a different room, but I would like to reduce the noise level all the same.

I'm not going back, ever 😛
