Well this looks like a no-brainer but can't help thinking I must be missing something.
Anand's benchmarks seem to show the 5850 around 10% faster than the 6850, with not much change of interest in the noise or other features, yet right now I can jump on a Gigabyte 5850 offer at £115 while 6850's are around £150 (same as a GTX460 1gb).
Rig due for a major upgrade in about a year, would hope to hold onto the card for about a year after that (i.e. 2 years from now). Not totally desperate to upgrade this 4850 but is a little long in the tooth and I'm due a reward
Gaming at 1680x1040, on a Core2Duo E8400 with 4gb memory.
P.S. I take it I'll be OK with a Corsair 650W TX?
