5850(oem) shipped for $125, 11/19 only

OEM usually only carries 30 days warranty from authorized seller. I don't think 1saleaday is authroized amd seller, so no warranty is expected. I would personalliy recommend 6850 with a real warranty. I would at least look into it to be sure. I would hate to get a DOA card and not be able to do anything about it. I would look into it before I purchased this. Tread lightly. I would get this instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...ction-_-cables-_-na-_-na&Item=N82E16814150573

I'd say this deal is pretty hot. The listing says it comes with a 1 year warranty. If so, that's pretty good, but it's not clear who would provide that - perhaps the OEM that's dumping these?

At $125 without dealing with a rebate, this is better than any current deal I've seen. It's significantly faster than the HD6850, which is selling for $130AR right now.

How long does it take for a refund to show on my account?

Refunds generally show up within 5-7 business days, but on rare occasions they can take up 30 days.

I'm torn. On the one hand its a really good card for the price and would completely destroy my 320mb 8800gts. On the other hand its older tech from a lesser vendor with basically no warranty and an iffy return policy.

I was gonna get this deal. I thought the price was great til I found the 6850 at newegg for $150 shipped. It uses less power, generates less heat and comes in a retail box plus with the rebate its $130 shipped.

That's the card I mentioned above. Best deal right now is actually this Gigabyte version for $130AR/FS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125353

That being said, the card is not comparable to the 5850. It's closer to a GTX460 - a step below in performance. The 6850 uses less power, though, that's for sure.

Or just hold out for the 7 series they are right around the corner.

Not comparable. They will be much more expensive than this.

I've bought a lot of stuff from this place, they are slow to ship....but the deals are usually unbeatable. This deal is HOT!

The temptation was too much, and I bit. I'm using two 5850's in crossfire, and have never had a problem with anything. I'm upgrading my sister's kids' 17" CRT to a 23" LCD, and this will make their gaming much better than the GTX 260 they have now.

I have an OEM 5850 that looks identical to this card. I am thinking about ordering a second for crossfire. Do you think it is a worthwhile purchase? My monitor is 1920x1200. I play BF3 and MW3 and am looking forward to Diablo 3 one day.

Did this a few weeks ago for BF3. I get 85% scaling. It was worth it for the huge increase is performance I got, going from 43fps at 1920/high to 80fps. In this game that is a tremendous difference.

This review of SB-E was released five days ago, and compared single and double 5850's:

http://www.anandtech.com/show/5089/sandy-bridgee-and-x79-the-asus-p9x79-pro-review/8

My result for that benchmark is about the same, at 97 fps at 1920*1080 and 89 fps at 1920*1200 using two 5850's and a 2500K @ 4 GHz, with default driver settings.

I should have mentioned this before, but to get crossfire to scale in games like bf3, you need a quad. If you're on a dual, your money would be better spent on a platform upgrade.

I received mine today, in unsealed anti-static bag, wrapped in bubble wrap, in OEM brown corrugated box, in bubble envelope. It looks fine, definitely new, have yet to try it.

I received mine today in the same fashion as loafbread. Mine was dead as a doornail! Fans spun on high and no display. Mine had dust and cobwebs in the heatsink.

I got mine today but didn't open it, doing "return to sender." 1saleaday wouldn't let me cancel. Ordered a 6850 instead

Nevermind what I said. I went to bestbuy and bought a Galaxy GTX460 for $110 popped it in and nothing again! I go and put it in the 2nd PCIE slot and it POSTS. I put the card back in the regular slot and it posts. So the 5850 now works😎 Makes me wonder about this ASrock mobo though.
