Hello guys ,
I want to know if my motherboard intel DG33FB over here http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/motherboards/dg33fb/dg33fb-overview.htm can accept either 5770 or 5850 or is there anything else i have to look for other than PCI E X 16 which is available with my MOBO. Also I have a Core 2 Duo 2.33Ghz 1333FSB with 2GB ddr2 , is it going to be a bottleneck effect , so should i go for 5770 and Upgrade and my CPU as well or go with 5850 straight ahead and how much PSU is good , if im planning to go for SLI or Crossfire in future. Newegg has got some good deals on Corsair 650w and 750w . So which one is enough. I have got another question . In CPU - z it reads the core speed as 1900mhz instead of 2.33Ghz . Is there anything i need to change ? Please answer all my questions. Thanks

Yes, it should accept either of those cards.

You really ought to ask in the CPU forum, however it's likely because speedstep has kicked in. The CPU only runs @ full speed when it has a heavy load.

Ok Thanx but what about PSU ? How much do i require ? Also while i was searching for 5770 there were different models like HD577A and 577X , on reading the reviews on sites like Amazon i found that many people were getting some problem like no video or screen flickering and stuff. While there were no issues with 5850.

what res are you playing at??? if you overclock your cpu then it would be okay for a 5850. you also need more than 2gb of ram for modern gaming. even a quality 550 watt psu will be plenty for an overclocked Core 2 duo and 5850. if there is a chance you may transfer the psu to a new higher end build then go with a 650 watt psu though.
