I'm going to be picking up a HD5850 here in the next week or so and I was wondering if I'd see any real improvement running a spare 9500GT I have laying around as a PhysX card.

Is there enough titles out that use physx? its a spare card so it wont cost me anything extra but will I see any gains?

You have to use cracked driver to run Physx and ATi cards.

No, you will see a drop in framerate due to the extra processing power needed to render physics..

I was running a 4870 with a 8800GT and I found that with the games out so far, PhysX was not worth the extra hassle. I wouldn't run it.

when I had my GTX 280 and 9600Gt for physx I was impressed with some of the effect in Cryostasis over my hd4870. Mirrors edge had a couple of cool things. I would do it if you have the hardware kicking around although I'm not sure a 9500gt has what it takes to get physx done smoothly
