i copied an auction, he got pissed, after i decided to revise post and delete the email exchange, it was my bad, i learned a lesson.
 
Sorry I have to disagree. I don't copy other peoples' auctions and find it mildly irritating when other people do it to me. But I don't say anything to them anymore.
 
ebay will cancel your auction if you do it and they complain.. its really annoying.

its just a freakin auction.. yeah you shouldn't do it but, is it necessary to cancel the auction? over like a 5 dollar item
 
I have borrowed inspiration from other ebay auctions, but not totally ripped one to use as my own.

I've seen some of my original 'ads' get copied before, I usually don't mind since I don't sell a staple item (just various oddities) but I think if it was html I wanted to use over again I would mind more.

hey, if i had your spelling skills i'd probably be lifting ebay auctions too.
 
You're sure we all do it? When someone takes the time to post pics and do html, and some idiot jacks it, they get pretty pissed...i would be too...
