No its not. With 3200+ DDR4 6700k/7700k is 10-30% faster than haswell at same clock.A 6700K/7700K is only about 3 % faster on average in games, so if you think a 5820K is a bottleneck, then pretty much all CPUs are bottlenecks.
Who buys a GTX 1080Ti to play at 1080p?No its not. With 3200+ DDR4 6700k/7700k is 10-30% faster than haswell at same clock.
btw every cpu bottleneck 1080TI at 1080P now.So GTX2080 will be bottleneck aswell.
Pair that same RAM with a 5820k and OC it to 4.2GHz+ and it'll be well within 10% of a 6700k. And in any games that heavily hit the CPU and can be well threaded the 5820k would pull ahead. No its not. With 3200+ DDR4 6700k/7700k is 10-30% faster than haswell at same clock.

Nope..HedT cpus dont scale with faster ram that much. You can gain 20-40% only from oc ram with 6700/7700k and you get maybe 5-10% in Hedt platform from memory oc.Pair that same RAM with a 5820k and OC it to 4.2GHz+ and it'll be well within 10% of a 6700k. If a 5820k is your bottleneck, than the 6700k would almost certainly be a bottleneck for you as well.
What about my ram?Pair that same RAM with a 5820k and OC it to 4.2GHz+ and it'll be well within 10% of a 6700k.
It's going to be within 5-10%.What about my ram?
DDR4 2666
What would be the safest voltage to run my 5820k at 4.4ghz??It's going to be within 5-10%.
If the 5820k is your bottleneck, then the 6700/7700k would STILL be a bottleneck. They're based on the same core design, the 6700/7700k can be clocked ~5-10% better, so they'll have 5-10% better performance in games that don't use more than 4 cores.
I had mine @~1.32v when I had it at 4.4ghz.What would be the safest voltage to run my 5820k at 4.4ghz??
(Yes i know all cpus are different but i need a starting point)
Thank you guys, actually i never understood the whole resolution/cpu thing, higher resolution means low stress on the cpu so why would someone need a i7 to game at 4k when they just could have purchased an i5 or i3??
