5750/5770 prices

The vast majority of you that are reading this have more experience than me. I will appreciate any constructive input. I won't hold it against you for if you end up being wrong. ;-)

I will be purchasing a 5750 soon. It is the right choice for me and my situation. Prices on newegg are currently in the $130 to $140 range. <Edit: thats for 1MB version> It's a new card, new pricing and all that. I will have to replace my current old card (3850) by X-Mas. Any good guesses on if and how much 5750 prices might drop in the next couple of months? If there won't be much of a change I'll just take care of it now.

Thnx in advance

What the fuck?

I wish I could make a thread answering questions that have yet to be asked.

On Topic, I'm Hoping for 5770's in the $140 range. As much as I'd like the smaller 5750, I need air exhausted OUT! OUT DAMN YOU ATI!>

EDIT: Sometimes if you wait for a $10 to $20 off coupon on superbiiz, you can get it cheaper than anywhere else. I'd sign up for their newsletter.

I think 5770 and 5750 prices will stay elevated until either Nvidia puts up some competition or ATI lowers the prices on 48xx series even more (which may not happen with Apple buying so much old stock).

Alot of people are just buying the hd4850s for $99.

I was about to do the same thing, but it seems the only brand I'm interested in buying (XFX) has been delisted from the inventory (Newegg, Ewiz) or OOS (ZZF).

That's a crappy deal you got there!

Correct me If I am wrong, but the 5750's are running around $120 + shipping (Im guessing $10-15 for shipping?), while theres a Sapphire 5770 for $145 w/free shipping.

Best Buy just got in the 5770, and it went back ordered. They want 209.99, I almost fell out of my chair at that price.

Lol @ 1MB it'll probably suck at even displaying the desktop 😛

I don't see the prices lowering to ~100 anytime soon unless the 4xxx series stock is depleted

Yeah superbiiz is great. They already had that deal for the 5850 @ 225 + ship (bing + coupon)

don't know if you are being sarcastic or not... but everyone that got on that deal had thier orders canceled.... me being one of them 🙁

I'm going to make the leap just in time for Aliens vs. Predator in Q1, hopefully prices will be down and hell maybe there will be an Nvidia card to compare it to.
