5750 & 5770 Crossfire

Anyone running this?

i'm currently stuck with a 5750 1GB and since my local shop don't have any in stock i'm thinking of mixing it with a 5770 1GB

just want to know if theres any problems (stuttering ect)

Should be fine but of course it will perform only as fast as two of the slower cards would.

My 4870 and 4890 run together admirably and better than just the 4870 alone, certainly.

And in case someone reads this post in the future, you can crossfire cards that are not the same brand (e.g., sapphire and XFX).

There is a misconception, SLI downclocks the cards to the lowest common denominator, Crossfire doesn't. The 5750+5770 combo performs exactly halfway between 2x5750 and 2x5770 so you aren't wasting money by mixing the slower with the faster. No idea what kind of microstutter there is though but I don't recall seeing any issues in the xbitlabs review.

Yeah well thats what i worry about is microstutter but yeah ive not seen any complains so far.
Instead of doing that buy a 5870 which will eat 57xx Xfire ,

I dont know what your point on this one....:eek:

I don't have moneys for HD5870 :thumbsdown:

Would love to have one though

maybe i can save and sell this card.

5770 crossfire will eat a 5870!

Whoa, I didn't even know you could crossfire 2 different cards (guess that misconception carried over from SLI). Can you only do that within each generation (4000 series w/ 4000, and 5000 w/ 5000, and so on)?

NO,just cards in the same series 58xx with 58xx, 57xx and 57xx and so on.
