Hey guys,

I assembled a AMD Phenom II X2 550 BE rig last month, I've been getting really high cpu fans rpms, about 5200-5700 with the stock cooler. The cpu runs at 52°C on idle, and 56°C on full load. CnQ is set to default in the bios. The results are same even with the remaining cores unlocked. The fan makes a lot of noise and can be really annoying.

Any ideas or suggestions as to why it is happening and solutions.

Thanks.

Thats not full load, thats idle. Temps can change very fast, so 10 seconds later( before the computer could boot) the temp can drop 30c. I would get an aftermarket cooler.
