5700 ultra video problems please help

Hey i just noticed that when i play certain games or look at certain pictures, certain colors get changed to this purple haze color. Never noticed it before, and I checked and my system is running fine temp. wise. The card is pretty new, not overclocked anymore, and it never has been that much, so what is causing this? It's like some colors are just being changed to this purple color... it's weird, anyone know?

hmmm thats wierd indeed, what games did you play that you experienced that, I also have a 5700u, but I never got that.

pretty much every game now, and picture in internet explorer, but only some of them, it's weird indeed. maybe drivers?

Try a different monitor or make sure the monitor cable is in correctly, jiggle the monitor cord.

That would be a good start, the best way to figure out what is wrong is to isolate the problem

its a 17" lcd, tried with a different monitor with a different cable, thats what i thought of first

ehh now whenever i start a game, the whole computer freezes... im just gonna reinstall windows i guess

I reinstalled to windows 2000, fresh install, and I still see purple in some textures, what the hell is going on?!

ummmmm mabye your card actually has something wrong wit it?
