56k modem v.92

I am planing to buy a new modem to replace my old one and there some modem in v.92. actually, I don't know what the difference between v.90 and v.92 though I would like to know. anyway, could any one tell me which company's 56 moden v.92 is good? creative lab, us robotics, diamond or someone else? thanks.

Current v90/56K Flex is 56k Download and 14.4/28.8 Upload.. I forget sometimes

Newer v92 is 56K (but usually connects faster than v90, and shorter "talk" time with ISP) and 44.8 UPLOAD which is faster.
ALSO v92 has the ability to "suspend" your connection if you get a phone call so that you can answer the phone and NOT be kicked offline by AOL, Eathlink etc..

ZOOM makes the BEST modems, they've always done it for me, until I got a faster connection, but I would recommend ZOOM modems highly. US Robotic, 3COM is usually expensive (for no good reason)
 
yes, the main advantage is higher upload speed
so unless you are a gamer or something that does significant uploading, it won't be much different than v.90
 
And if your ISP doesn't support v.92, and most don't, the point is moot. I've used modems from all of the manufacturers you've listed and had no problems with any of them.
