I just noticed that my back left speaker on my BA4800 speaker system is not working. I thought it might have been the speaker, so I swapped the RCA plug in the back with the right speaker. This worked. I am thinking that I either blew that channel, or there is a loose wire or something. The strange this is that I hear hissing out of the dead channel. What does that mean??

Anybody have any suggestions before I RMA the sub?

I'm sorry, maybe I'm just dense...lemme reread your post. NG, still confused. Did you:

1. Try the rear left speaker on another channel to ensure that speaker actually works?
2. Try a diff speaker on the "dead" channel, w/negative results?

Was it working before? Sounds like possibly, somwhow the plug for the rear speakers came partially out from the soundcard. 2x check all connections. Try reseating the soundcard. If still nothing, it's RMA city for U> Good luck.
