If the mobo supported 100mhz, it wouldn't be that bad of a deal, because you could OC to 850. Seems okay for a casual surfer, but the integrated sound, and video, is gonna hurt even a casual gamer.

Nah, I've seen better... J/k. It's fair. However, beware that it could be the Celeron 1 processor.

Its certainly proprietary, but the 566 is definitely Celery2. Your friends won't buy it, maybe fleBay..

Given the novelty of the case and W98se included, seems like a pretty good deal to me.

I just bought this one two days ago:

Celeron-600Mhz FC-PGA CPU
32MB of PC-100 SDRAM
10GB IDE Hard Drive
40X CD
56K V.90 Rockwell Chipset Modem
Intel Direct 3D 2X AGP Video
Keyboard, mouse, floppy drive and speakers!
Intel 810 Chipset microATX Motherboard
2 USB, Parallel, 9-pin serial port, two open PCI slots
Built in Crystal 3D PCI Sound, Audio In & Out / Game Port
Windows 98
Refurb eMachine w/1 year warranty.

I'm gonna throw another 64 or 128MB of ram in it, but it's plenty powerful - as a browsing machine for my mom's bday. I got it off a guy on eB@y for $277.50 shipped - he's been selling gads of them, although I'll admit I got one of the better deals so far.

Here's the link if you're interested...

The case's design stinks. Would be good for a firewall-type machine for a network or like an "Internet only" comp.

Beware, this baby uses SODIMM's (laptop memory) so you wont be able to use that old PC100 you have laying around to upgrade amount of memory!

Wow, SODIMM's have become a lot cheaper.

I thought they used to be markedly more expensive?
