I know it doesnt matter for surfing the net, but is 54mb/s enough for a media center PC in the living room? I will be streaming music, vids, and maybe a few other things but thats all. Big file transfers will be minimal if at all.

I just dont want to loose media streams from my server.

54g 'should' be enough. I've had such horrible luck though with un-reliable wireless connections in Windows through consumer grade wireless products that I won't be doing any high-bandwidth (i.e. movies) streams anytime soon due to erratic behavior. Good luck.

I got a Linksys WRT54GS router and my laptop has a 54mbps Broadcom chip in it, and it works flawlessly. I let the Broadcom app manage the connection now, because I kept getting speed drops when using WZC, which I found out does a power-save type of thing. The router is great, just make sure you invest in a good card. I found a GREAT usb wifi card for like $15 online, it's one of the best wifi cards I own, and it's G to boot! Send me a PM if you want a link, I'll dig it up.

Can you pass it along to me as well?

Thanks.
