53 Tnodes done, some stats

Well I kept all ogr logs since I switched my 5 K6s on Sept 8th, and last night I updated my spreadsheet, to a total of 53+ Tnodes (42 for The Federation, 11 for PTE iv). Some figures :

479 stubs
biggest was 411.142 Gnodes, smallest was 0.668 Gnode.
average was 111.197 Gnodes.
average for last 10 days was 96.460 Gnodes
'median' size is 98.172 Gnodes (dunnow the english name for that, but it means I have as many stubs over this size than I have under)

In conclusion, we can assume the averagestub is around 100 Gnodes, give or take 10%.

/edit No, I'm not bored, but I just moved and replugged 9 comps, and I need some fun now 😉.

LeBlatt,
Hi! Thanks for the info.

By the way median is good English, at least to statisticians. Mid-point is also used. 50th percentile, ....

Leblatt,

Would it be possible to get the standard deviation of those numbers so that we have some idea what the real life range would be?

If anyone has Larger/smaller ones to report please post them or PM me.

sciencewhiz, I guess the standard deviation is what we call écart type, which equals here to 85,962,735,146 nodes. Dunnow how that is computed, stats courses are far away...😱
I also have the écart moyen, which is the average difference between values and their average : 70,557,746,679 nodes.
