52x CD-ROM WORKING AT 13X

I own a system with processor of Athlon XP 1700+, 512MB DDR RAM, with an ASUS A7N266-VM Motherboard Sharing 32MB RAM of the total memory with WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL SERVICE PACK 1 as the operating system.I purchased a SAMSUNG CD-ROM with model no:- SC-152A on 30/04/2003. I use NERO-CD SPEED for determining the speed of CD-ROM. But here the software shows only an average of 13X. To verify it i checked its results on the site but there the average speed was about 30X. Then i also used SISOFT SANDRA but it also shows a similar slow transfer rate of about 905kb/sec.
I checked my bios for the ULTRA DMA mode but it is DISABLED.When i try to enable it , the bios shows an error saying :- SECONDARY MASTER FAILS. I am very frustrated with such a slow speed and am expecting great hopes that you will solve my problem.So PLEASE Help Me

have you loaded the drivers from your mobo drivers disk...? hope this gets moved...

Also, try to get your CapsLock key unstuck 9 (re your post title)
