i want to get a corsair psu and i'm wonder how much price premium the 620 is worth.
If i can get it for just $24 more should I? I've got a e6600 at 3.3ghz 2x1024 ddr, and a x800xl (non-sli board). It seems like 520 is plenty. I could probably still upgrade my graphics card to a single dx10 one and use still use the 520 right?

Would the 620 offer me significantly longer probable useful life? still work with upgrades i mean? i imagine 520 is plenty for quad core and my next build as well, i don't ever plan 2 have 2 graphics cards, but i have 2 hard drives, and want 2 optical drives, just have 1 now.

$24 pays for extra plugs with extra amps covering 100 watts and self-reassurance of a good deal if you ever plan to move the psu to a newer computer. Who knows, maybe down the line you will go SLI but even if you did the 520 should cover it unless thay are dual 8800z =oP We still dunno how much power the 8800z will take when dx10 comes out. Again. I'd pay the extra $24 just for the plugs and extra amps alone even if un-needed.

Btw, that's what I'm using now =oP

it has one extra set of sata power cables i think and one extra set of 4 pin molex. i forget which review tells you exactly, but i bet the corsair website will tell you.

i got the 620 and built with it today. sweet PS.

i wanted to be future proof, maybe im just being silly but i think for 24 bucks it may be worth it.
