512mb PNY PC2700 50+tax after rebate

Found this deal @ staples... item number 522149... it's 80 dollars upfront with a 30 dollar rebate... i've been looking to get a cheap stick of 512mb so i think this isn't that bad a deal... not sure if this is a repost though but if it is don't waste your time hating other may not have heard of this deal...

They also have 256 pc2700 for 20-30 after rebate... (not sure final price cuz links to 30 dollar rebate but page with ram lists it as a 20 dollar rebate) item number 522148

It's showing up as $99.94 for me. When you say $80 up front do you mean with a $20 coupon?

yeah u put in the 20 dollar coupon and then there is a 30 dollar rebate

I just read up on this at FW and they have got it down pat. The best process looks to be to buy it in the store and use the $15 off $75 coupon on Staples website.

If you have to buy it online, don't use the $20 off coupon on the website. Check out just using the $15 off coupon and then call them to price match to the store price of $79.94. That'll make up the other $20.

So, final price after $30MIR = $34.94.

I bought it online using $20 cpn, then PM'd to buy.com to get $25 back. It works out to be $26 AR.

Yeah. MrNutz must not be very good at reading comprehension. That is the best deal. i had my brother do it earlier in the week.

item number @ buy.com is C4QRLH, but I find it amazing does staples really PM based on the non-couponed price? ie. 100 dollars @ staples vs 77 dollars @ buy.com?

Yes. The thing is that if you use that 20 off 100 coupon sometimes it "falls off" the order because it dips below $100. My brother got lucky and his rep kept it on so he got the coupon and PM and rebate.

umm.. I think u need to check up your reading comprehension... esp the conclusion part. If read into the FW thread, people started complaining that staples was no longer honoring the Buy.com ram PM. Someone found another stick of ram on Buy.com that they were able to PM to, but that seemed to be hit or miss. There was also a PM to the ram on Outpost, but that only worked if the Staples CSR didn't call outpost to check availability...

My post was the easiest, most current way to get a good deal w/o having to worry about the hit or miss PMs.
