here we go with the 1k video cards. i would like to see a review though to see what if anything the extram ram does

I researched these cards as extesively as i could being a non tech guy and ive found 2 things. Ultras are hugely expensive and gt's are much less expensive.

the only difference tween this card and the gt i bought is its pci express i bought a 8x agp and the clock speeds are 50mhz difference and i only paid 325 for my card.

Hell no. The resolutions to take advantage of that much texturing just aren't gonna happen with reasonable framerates, especially with many people dropping down to 1280x1024 LCDs. 512mb is just unnecessary.

it's like 9800pro 256 all over again, when 512 is actually needed the 6800 will be too slow.

i wonder what the latencies are going to be for the extra memory

and for 2000 dollars you could have that in SLI :roll:
