Ok I am going to upgrade my motherboard and processor, looking to buy a 2500+ barton, problem right now is that I cant afford to buy new RAM for now. Question is will I be able to run a A7N8X Deluxe mobo with barton 2500+ together with my slow 512mb/2100 ram?? or should I buy the 2400+/266fsb processor?

Yes, you will but you won't be able to run synchronously at 166MHz FSB unless your current RAM will overclock that high. Or you can run asycnchronously at 166MHz FSB on the CPU and 133MHz FSB on the RAM.

Personally, I'd go with synchronous operation at 133MHz FSB and just up the multiplier to achieve acceptable clockrate.

Yup, what he ^ said. Unless your RAM does do 333Mhz, lower the FSB to 133, and up the multiplier as far as you can. I did this for a short time, and it worked just fine, and gave reasonable performance.
