http://shop.kingston.com has this kind of deal all the time (currently $84-10 shipped free) but Fry's having been beating these offers lately - I got 512Mb PC2700 the other day from Fry's for $56 AR, cheaper than direct from Kingston!

Hmm... it says $49.99 after rebate when I add it to my cart, but there's no rebate form anywhere.

From the "view cart" page:
"If your item has a rebate don't forget to download it because the rebate form doesn't come in the box. You may download the rebate form (if any) from the product page."

Thanks OP,
I ordered 1 RAM, and while I was at the site I checked out what else they had that are HOT DEALS.
I ended up ordering a Sonata case for $59.99 after MIR, and a BTC 8x DVD+&- drive for $49.99.
Shipping on everything is $13.94

Would this be a great deal of performance increase over my current Kingston Value RAM PC2700, CL2.5?

only if you increase your bus speed to 200+... and even then you might not see too much seat of the pants improvement... but another 512M of memory might be a good boost, depending on what u use the pc for...

I was going to throw it in a p4 2.8 400SC I just picked up instead of the 1GB of PC2700 I mentioned, if it would do anything special.

The most intensive thing I'm doing right now is playing CS, FarCry, and I'll definitely be trying HL2, assuming...

Thanks.

Same here.

Anybody know if these will work if bumped down to CL2.5? How about if you give it a little more voltage, say 2.7v, or even 2.8v?

The rebate says valid Aug 6th - Aug 12th for frys and outpost. I think i will probably just skip on paying shipping and pick up the deal in store at frys this weekend.

Good deal i don't think i have seen DDR400 512 chips for under $50 ever?

Also be careful, on the website is says limit 5, but the limit for the rebate is one per household. Not like this ever stopped anyone, just thought i should remind you guys
