At googlegear.com they've got CAS 2 pc2700 512 MB Corsair (XMS) for $174 with $.50 2nd day Fedex. This is by far the cheapest I've been able to find this. Link here. I already received mine and it's actual C2 2700. Sorry if this isn't that hot, just thought I'd share...

XMS 3000 is made of Samsung PC2700 chips, at least 256 Mbit. That means the excess you are paying over Samsung is for the heat spreaders that serve the purpose to hide the chips.

I dont like the current memory price hike :| I'm sticking w/ my 256MB PC2700 for now till they drop in the near future (I hope)

I bought the PC2700 stuff (same stick) for 160 a little while ago, i really dont like this increase...however it died so i RMA'd it and they sent me some Kingmax stuff with 2.5cas, screw that, so i sent THAT back and now newegg should be sending me back the stuff that i originally bought. Over there it is somethin like 205 though last time i checked a few days ago.
