512 CL2 vs 768 CL2.5?

Platform? CPU speed? RAM speed? What are you running? Will you need more than 512MB of RAM at once for your working set?

any standard system.....my mbd is a KT266 with amd 2400+, running the usual xp pro and some games (UnrealT, colin mcrae rally, winamp+R4, sort of thing). nothing server'y.

may well be used on a different mbd tho, possibly an intel chipset.
